Q1Is there a one-time price or a lifetime license?

No, and it is worth being straight about why. MyAutoShopPro is a subscription. There is no perpetual licence and no one-time purchase that gives you the software forever. Shop management software is not a product you install once and leave alone — it runs on servers we pay for monthly, holds your data, gets security patches, and has to keep working with Stripe, QuickBooks and the tax rules that change every year. A vendor selling a one-time licence is either charging enough up front to fund a decade of that, or planning to stop maintaining it. What you can do here is start on the Free plan, which costs nothing and has no time limit, or pay annually on a paid plan, which works out cheaper per month than paying monthly.

Q2Are there per-user fees or setup fees?

No to both. Each plan includes a set number of staff accounts (2 on Free, 5 on Starter, unlimited on Pro and Business) with no per-seat charge, and there is no onboarding or setup fee to get started. Per-user pricing is common in this category and it quietly punishes you for adding the technician you needed, so we do not do it.

Q3Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card and has no time limit. It covers one location, 2 staff accounts and 25 repair orders a month, with estimates, invoices, appointments, a shop website with online booking, and card payments at a 1% platform fee. Texting, digital inspections, the technician tablet app and unlimited repair orders start on Starter at $49 a month.

Q4What is the cheapest way to pay for MyAutoShopPro?

Start on Free and upgrade the day you need texting, inspections or more repair orders. On a paid plan, pay annually. Every paid plan is cheaper per month on annual billing, and there is no contract length beyond the year you have paid for. Upgrades take effect immediately.

Q5Is there a free trial?

Yes. Any paid plan is free for 3 days, and we don't ask for a card to start. Set your shop up and run real work through it. If you don't subscribe, you move to the Free plan when the trial ends. Nothing locks and nothing you built goes anywhere. After you subscribe you're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee: click Request a refund on the billing page within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, with no email and no retention call. Q6What does it cost to take card payments?

Card payments are processed through Stripe. Your shop pays Stripe's standard processing rate (typically 2.9% + 30¢) plus a small MyAutoShopPro platform fee: 1% on Free, 0% on Starter and 0% on Pro. Business and Enterprise have no platform fee at all, so you take card payments at cost. The fee only ever touches card payments. Cash and checks you record in the app are always free.

Q7Is the website included, or does it cost extra?

Every plan, including Free, includes a shop website with online booking, built on one of our free templates, at no extra charge. Premium templates are a separate one-time purchase starting at $49, available on Pro and above. You buy a premium template once and keep it. There's no recurring charge for it.

Q8Can I switch plans later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at your next billing cycle. Cancelling moves you to the Free plan at the end of the period you paid for.

Q9What if I run more than 3 locations?

Business covers up to 3 locations. If you're running 4 or more shops, a franchise group, or you need custom terms, that's what the Enterprise plan is for. Get in touch and we'll set limits, onboarding, and pricing around how you actually operate.

Q10What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Annual plans can also be paid by ACH bank transfer, though you'll need to contact us to set that up.

Q11Do I need a Stripe account to use invoicing?

Only for card payments. You can still create and send invoices and record cash or check payments on any plan, including Free.

Q12What happens to my data if I cancel?

Nothing disappears. When a paid plan ends you move to the Free plan and keep every customer, vehicle and repair order. If you'd rather close the account entirely, ask us and we'll export your data first, then securely delete it.
